Soccer

Our senior soccer has started once again.  We have already played two games.  Our first game was against Poundmaker and we suffered a 12-1 pounding.   The next day we regained our composure and travelled to Rosthern to take them on.  The game was close (we were leading 1-0 most of the game) but we ended up losing 3-2.  The team is confident that with Reegan Johnston back on the pitch (he has been busy with harvest) we will be able to beat them.

I am also excited to announce that we have started a junior soccer program.  There is a huge interest in the sport within our school (22 students at senior level and 22 students at junior).  Mr. Lockwood has volunteered to coach the junior team (a big thank you to him - he's already coaching Junior Boys volleyball so we definitely appreciate the time he is donating).  No schedule so far but it looks like we are going to try to have practices and games on Mondays.
