Maymont vs. Poundmaker

The team travelled to NB last Wednesday for a 7v7 match against Poundmaker. Both Dave and I are extremely impressed with the progress the team is making. They are starting to figure out how to play together and it's exciting to watch they learn and grow. The final score ended up being 7 or 8-3 but there were a lot of obvious successes in that loss. First, Reegan sniped two goals. Lukas bagged one. There were also a lot of chances that just missed. This tells me that our focus on finishing and scoring is working. Secondly, our defence played a strong game. They are starting to understand their role and really step up. Add in the fact that Tank was injured and Greg absent and our team is starting to look stronger and stronger. Our goalie, John, is also playing very well. We're supposed to be heading to NB today for a 7v7 match against Cando but I don't know if it's still happening or not as it may be more of a water polo match.
