Our soccer team has come a long way since its humble beginnings. Sure we have taken some beatings (ie: from Cando who has been playing soccer a long time and we are still not sure why they are in the 7v7 league. It would be kind of like the Edmonton Oilers playing in our Senior hockey league). Anyways, Cando aside…the teams that do belong in the 7v7 leagues are all fairly evenly matched and we have had some close and exciting games. We travelled to Rosthern and won - Kelsie Fouhy almost scored Maymont's first ever goal scored by a female. However, no finish. Kind of like this:
Just this weekend we travelled to Rosthern yet again and got second. We beat Rosthern and Lanigan and lost to Cando. The team is playing really well and starting to understand the game on a whole different level. We are off to Dundurn tomorrow for a game against Hanley.
